Testosterone

This section covers testosterone boosters and the basics of male hormones. You will find product reviews, best-of guides and explainers on what affects testosterone levels.

Most boosters rely on zinc, vitamin D, magnesium, fenugreek, ashwagandha or tongkat ali. We check doses against human trials, note that benefits are often limited to people who are low or deficient, and review side effects and refund terms.

Low testosterone should be confirmed with a blood test. Ask your doctor before use if you take medication or have a prostate or heart condition.

Do testosterone booster supplements raise testosterone?

Most over the counter testosterone boosters have little good evidence that they raise testosterone in a meaningful way. Low testosterone can only be confirmed with blood tests, and symptoms like tiredness or low drive have many causes. If you are worried, ask your doctor for testing. Prescription testosterone is a different product and needs medical supervision.
