Eye & Vision
This section covers eye health. It includes our Vision Support category, with reviews and best-of guides, plus explainers on screen strain, dry eyes and eye changes with age.
We compare formulas with the doses used in the large AREDS2 eye studies where relevant, check lutein and zeaxanthin amounts, and note side effects and refund terms.
Sudden vision changes need urgent care. Ask your eye doctor before use if you have an eye condition, smoke, or take medication.
Which eye supplements are backed by a major clinical trial?
The AREDS and AREDS2 studies, run by the National Eye Institute, found that a specific formula of vitamins C and E, zinc, copper, lutein, and zeaxanthin can slow the progression of intermediate or late age related macular degeneration. The formulas are not shown to prevent the disease in people who do not have it. Ask your eye doctor.
